Goals of the special session

The goal of the Socially Assistive Robots special session is to bring together researchers working in robotics and artificial intelligence and applying the results in real-world environments. This meeting is oriented towards sharing the ideas of the participants with different backgrounds ranging from robotics and machine learning to psychology. The aim of the special session is to identify new concepts and challenges in designing socially assistive robots that can increase the quality of life of humans.
